Hand-crafted in India’s most venerable workshop, this luxurious chess set is inspired by the horses of a traditional Indian wedding. Timeless and elegant, the limited edition pieces are designed by renowned sculptor Avtarjeet Dhanjal and carved of precious heirloom woods. To protect against the many would-be imitators, all Natraja sets are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a book signed by the sculptor. One team is carved of English boxwood. The second team is carved of rosewood. Bud rosewood’s gently swirling grain and warm burgundy tone are considered the world’s most beautiful. Exceptionally resilient, rosewood is well-suited to diverse climates.
