Silver Jubilee chess
The Queen’s Silver Jubilee chess set, made in solid Sterling Silver-gilt (5 micron Gold plated) and inlaid by hand with leather. The chessmen are balanced to US Chess Federation playing weight, London hall-marked and housed in two leather book-boxes, suede lined. This set won the converted Design Council award in 1977. There are two extra Queens supplied with this set. A stunning matching inlaid leather Chessboard trimmed in Sterling silver-gilt accompanies this exquisite set.
The pictured sample features cherry and ebony checkers, marine and cherry book boxes, silver-gilt pieces and a silver-gilt frame.
